Arrows to Atoms! Teepees to Towers! the 1957 Oklahoma Semi-Centennial  &  TulsaRama!

The year was 1957, and Oklahoma was celebrating  its Semi-Centennial.
For it's part Tulsa decided to throw a weeks long party called the TulsaRama!

"A Panorama of Progress"  "Scenes that would astound the old timers!"
There was a heady optimism in the air and the people of Tulsa and Oklahoma wanted to show off their beautiful city and state.  So much incredible progress had been made during the first 50 years of statehood, and an even more amazing future looked within reach.

Below is an assortment of artifacts from our collection. Many of which can be found as decor inside the TulsaRama Ice Cream Parlor!

The crown jewel of Tulsa's TulsaRama Celebrations, was the burial of a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere in a time capsule!
