Our FIRST annual TULSA 6X6 "Affordable Art" Show!

After the Tulsa Route 66, Guinness Book of World Records, Classic Car Parade!

This event will feature "Affordable Art" 6" X 6" art pieces available for only $66!
Or less!
The majority of the proceeds from the art show will go to the artists themselves, with part of the remainder going to help fund the creation of the DECOPOLIS Tulsa Art Deco Museum!
The show will be held in the "William's Tulsey Town Gallery" section of the NEW DECOPOLIS on Tulsa's Route 66!

Pick up your free canvas here at our TulsaRama Ice Cream Parlor (our gallery is located here as well)! Drop off your finished artwork here as well during our regular open hours. 10-6 Tues-Sat, 12-6 Sun.
ARTIST PARTICIPATION INFORMATION
Each artist can bring up to 2 original 6" X 6" art pieces.
NOTE: Last day/time to bring in your artwork is Tuesday May12th by 6 PM!
You can use your own canvas or we will have 6X6 gallery wrapped, regular stretched canvas, and 6X6 flat panel canvases available (1 canvas per artist FREE) and for purchase at our TulsaRama location. (Note: Even for framed pieces, the canvas must be 6” X 6”. Please attach 1 hanger to the back of the canvas or framed piece.
For non-hanging, sculptural or 3 Dimensional pieces, all artwork must fit size wise, within a 6”X6”X6” cube.
MEDIUM? Watercolor, Oils, Sculpture, Printed Digital Art, bead art, cloth art, clay art, wood art, collage, basket weaving... lets have fun exploring all kinds of "small scale" art!
If you bring only 1 piece, we would ask that it be $66" or less. (This is to encourage people to start collecting art by offering pieces at affordable prices)
We know many artists can put a lot more work, time and love into even a small piece, than most imagine! So we will have a note on all the artist sheets, that says “A piece like this by me, might sell for around $________”.
Say you put in a full day or two’s work on a piece, or it’s encrusted in gemstones or very detailed etc. If we note that a piece like this usually goes for say $200. This will really encourage people to come in to the opening day reception and to purchase the item seeing that that it is a good deal.
For the second piece, we would like it to be a fundraising piece for the DECOPOLIS Tulsa Art Deco Museum. These can have any price point you wish. 70% going to you, 30% to help create the Tulsa Art Deco Museum.
You do not have to make any of your pieces your best or greatest works. You can if you like! But definitely have fun and do what you are in the mood to create!
A goal for this event is to try and find a tricky balance between making the art affordable, but making it worth your time. Tying to find a balance between encouraging the public to attend, getting new people to begin collecting real art by offering pieces at an affordable price, and at the same time try and get the artist sales and exposure.
If you have a website with more art, we will have a place for you to put that on your artist sheet for people to check out as well.
NOTES
TulsaRama reserves the right to refuse any artwork that it deems inappropriate. We are not opposed to “tasteful nudity” (aka the kind you might see in a painting or sculpture in a public Art Deco or Classical building for example). Just have in mind we want to keep the show family friendly.
Please no copies of other artists works. Please do not use trademarked characters, items, logos, etc. unless they are your own.
As part of this agreement you will allow us to post an image of your work, or show it along with others in a video, on our social media to help promote the show. We claim no further rights to your works. We will of course endeavor to credit your piece in any posts.

Gallery take is 30% with 10% of that going to prize money, and the rest going to production/promotion of the event. (The bigger the sales, the more the prize money pot grows).
50% of the total prize money goes to first prize, 30% to second, 20% to third.
CONTEST VOTING
Each art piece will be numbered, there will be a corresponding number on a container in which patrons can “Vote for their favorite pieces” by placing one of their two tokens in a bowl representing their favorite pieces.
Tallies will be done once bidding time is over, at 7:45 during the Opening Day Reception, Saturday May 16th.
Tokens can be purchased for $2 each as a fundraiser for the DECOPOLIS Tulsa Art Deco Museum.
ARTIST SHEETS
Artists must provide TWO sheets per work, having a photo OR just a description/artist statement of the work. It will also include your name, title of piece, the medium, and an Artist Statement (which can be a simple "Hope you enjoy my work!" or a description/explanation of the piece).
Below is an example of the artist sheet that we would like you to use.

Please print TWO of these sheets for each piece submitted!
On the back of one sheet for each piece submitted, we would like you to put your phone #, email, and to whom to write the payment check (personal name, or business name) and an address to mail the check, or a note that you would prefer to drop by and pick up the check.
All artwork MUST be in-hand at the TulsaRama by Tuesday MAY 12 by 6 PM to guarantee your position in the show.
Please note that payment from all sales, and prize money, will be remitted asap, after June 6th.
Unsold pieces musts be picked up by 6PM June 6.
